Grant Writing Committee

• Valerie Saldanha, Chairperson

  Valerie has volunteered with PAN since 2017 and became the Chair of its Grant Writing Committee in 2021. She is also a DVM candidate at Long Island University with hopes of continuing her work with PAN post-graduation.

• Diane Nichols, Volunteer

  Diane has volunteered with PAN since 2017. She worked 23 years as Research and Clinical laboratory supervisor and spent the previous 18 years as clinical research coordinator and Data Manager for the URMC Blood & Marrow Transplant Unit. Diane holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University with a Biochemistry major.

• Pam, Volunteer

  Pamela recently moved back to her hometown of Rochester, after living in many other states in the United States. She has owned many animals in her past including various farm animals. Currently, she has adopted a cat named Princess, who does her best to live up to her royal name! Pamela is new to Pet Adoption Network and enjoying the interesting experience.

• Jay Bachman, Board Member and Volunteer

  Jay Bachmann has been a Board Member and PAN's Volunteer Coordinator since 2016. He is employed by Paychex Inc and lives with his wife and 4 rescued animals in Irondequoit.

• David Spampinato, Volunteer

  Dave began volunteering for PAN in 2022 to help with grant writing and website updates. He is a business owner, entrepreneur and dedicated cat person.
