Herbie Update: PAN would like to thank all of the people who made generous donations so that we could get Herbie the special care, testing and medical evaluations that he needed. He was seen several times and had reached a point where he appeared stable and ready for adoption. Unfortunately, Herbie took a turn for the worse recently. The medical experts felt that, even with the very costly surgery that might be tried to help him, there was no guarantee that it would work. The surgery would be painful and debilitating, and PAN felt that to put him through all of that with no guarantee of success would be cruel. We all miss this sweet little guy, but take comfort in knowing that, with your help, we did everthing we could to save him. Thank you again for all of your support. Did You Know? Within 7 years, 1 female cat can produce 420,000 offspring, while 1 female dog can produce 67,000 offspring? (According to the American Humane Association.) The cats you see on this website represent some of the few lucky homeless animals who will be placed in permanent homes. Tragically, 4-6 million homeless and unwanted animals are euthanized annually because homes cannot be found. Please help control animal overpopulation by spaying/neutering your pet! Over 200 cats and kittens were adopted in 2008! To see pictures of many of them, please click here Do you need to rehome your pet? Click here for some suggestions.
