We have no idea what Cindy’s past story is. She must have belonged to someone at one time and she got out or they let her go.  Luckily Cindy captured the hearts of a couple who soon realized she was pregnant and needed help.  Cindy is very affectionate to people and was a wonderful mom to her kittens. She just loves a warm bed, and regular meals.  Cindy is now properly vetted, spayed, and ready to be the center of attention, with all of her playfulness, in a home of her own.

Martha was found outside, barely old enough to walk, alone at 1 am. She was bottle fed by her foster Mom and has become a loving, affectionate kitten.  She has been diagnosed with a significant heart murmur.  After seeing a specialist it was determined that she has 6 months to a year+ to enjoy her days on earth. We know that there is no possibility of adoption but are keeping her picture here temporarily for anyone who might like to be kept updated. This is a very special kitten.

Martha has grown into a sleek, shiny beautiful teenager. This picture was taken August 15th.  She is still as active as any other kitten.

 

 

 

Martha LOVES her foster sister Jenny.  Jenny is getting up there in years, yet she tolerates being loved by this unusual little kitty.  Their favorite time of day is nap time.  Any time Jenny curls up to snooze, so does Martha.

Hi, I’m Alice. Sometimes they call me Blackberry. Mom says only a patient person would adopt me. I growl at the other cats, hate to be picked up, and won’t let her clip my nails. She’s been bribing me with treats to let her comb me. I hate to admit it, but actually it feels good sometimes, until she gets near my tail. I love to snuggle with her though. Gypsy is a pretty, neat little cat who lives peacefully with other cats and might do ok with a laid back dog. She likes to rub against her person but isn’t really a lap cat. She’s happy with a little attention and a few toys, and brushing in small doses. She rides well in a carrier. Problem is, after a couple of hours at the center, she gets crabby and swatty. In a private interview, she would show her true colors much better.

Tammy is also a special placement kitty: She was abandoned with her kitten at a local shelter. Her baby was adopted a long time ago & poor Tammy was left behind. A high energy kitty, Tammy needs to keep busy – she loves to chase her furry mice, runs up & down her large scratching post and has a very big appetite for such a slim girl. Tammy’s activity level is way too high for most other cats to tolerate, so she may be best as an only cat. She has been indoor only since we’ve had her, which would be our preference, but she might be happiest as an indoor/outdoor kitty if the home was in a safe location. Some might say that Tammy has a slight case of Attention Deficit Disorder – she’s just a very busy girl. Tammy does not show well at our adoption center so she does not come for regular adoption days. A special viewing can be arranged upon request. Tammy needs a very special person willing to give her a chance.
